Powdered chlorine is used as a disinfectant in swimming pools. It is effective in fighting microorganisms in water. Powdered chlorine is applied by hand. Application rates differ according to the type of pests, formulation and type of product.
Powdered chlorine is used for chlorination in pool water. It should be used in weekly shock chlorination in season, and in winter with an algaecide. After it is added to water, it dissolves and the active substance begins to perform its function. There is no residue or build-up left in it. The powder is divided into three parts, 56%, 70% and 90%, according to the amount of active substance in the chlorine content.
Method of use: Initial dose: 350 g is used for 3 days for 100 m3 of pool water in the first filling of the pool. Continuous dosage: In private pools: 200 g/day for 100 m3 of pool water. In commercial pools: 300-400 g/day per 100 m3 of pool water. These amounts may increase depending on the intensity of use of the pool, weather conditions such as sun and weather.
