A pH meter device is used to check the acid-base ratio in solutions. A pH meter determines whether a solution is acidic, alkaline, or neutral.

Acidity and alkalinity of solutions are measured at a level corresponding to one of the values between 0 and 14. The PH meter provides a potentiometric measurement by converting the value of the electrical signal received by the electrode into the PH unit.

A pH of 7 is considered neutral. PH value for drinking water should be 6.5-8.5. A value lower than this is considered high acidity, and a higher value is considered alkaline water.
