The installation of water filters may vary according to the type of appliance and the manufacturer's instructions. However, in general, some standard steps should be followed to install a water filter.
How should the water filter be installed?
- The location for the installation of the water purification filter must be selected. In this place, it is necessary to have a water inlet, enough space for the installation of the device and access to the sewage line. For kitchen-style water filters, this location is usually under the kitchen sink.
- The necessary equipment must be prepared to install the water filter. A drill, screwdriver, wrench, protective tape and threads, as well as other equipment listed in the manufacturer's instructions should be ready before starting work.
- The device is placed in the place to be installed, the line is separated from the water inlet and enters the device. At the same time, the faucet on the water filter device is attached to the top of the bench. Since the filters are new, the first step is to wash them with the water entering the preventive filters and drain them into the sewer. At this stage, it is necessary to take into account that in the future it will be possible to move the device forward and work on it.
- The clean water outlet should be installed in the faucet, and the dirty water outlet in the sewer pipe. If the installed water filter has a hydrophore, its adapter must be connected to the electrical network.
- Finally, it is necessary to check the connections, water inlet and outlet. It is possible to test this by artificially creating pressure inside the unit. If there is any leakage, it should be determined and eliminated in advance so that it does not lead to greater complications in the future.
